FAQs
The things people ask before booking
How should I prepare for the visit?
Clear small items off the floor, and move anything breakable off the furniture we will be cleaning. Leave the heavy pieces to us.
A parking spot near the door helps more than anything else, especially in winter. We run hose from the van, so the closer we can get, the less we track through the house.
Do I need to move the furniture?
No. We move what can be moved safely and place it back on pads or blocks so nothing sits damp on clean carpet. Beds, large wall units and anything with electronics or stone tops stay where they are, and we clean around them.
How long does the carpet take to dry?
Usually four to six hours with good airflow, longer in a closed-up house in deep winter. We extract hard, so you are walking on damp carpet, not wet. Ask and we will set up air movers in the rooms you need back soonest.
Can you get my stain out?
Stain treatment is included and most things lift. What we cannot promise is every stain, because the answer depends on the material and what caused it.
Dye-based spills on wool, bleach marks, old pet damage that reached the backing, and anything already treated with a store-bought product are the honest maybes. You hear what we think it will do at the door, not afterwards.
Do you only clean the dirty spots?
No. We clean the entire carpet, not just the traffic lanes or the spot that prompted the call.
Cleaning one patch leaves a clean island in a dirty field, and the line between them shows more than the original soil did. Fibers also wear and change color unevenly, so a spot-cleaned area will not match once it dries. Cleaning the whole carpet is the only way to get an even result.
What are the booking minimums?
The minimum is the lowest total for a visit, not the price of the job. Final cost depends on the rooms, pieces and condition we find.
Private homeowners and realtors book at a $495 minimum per visit. Property managers and current customers book at $295.
Will you publish a full price list?
No, and that is deliberate. A price per room means either over-charging a small house or under-quoting a large one, and neither is fair. We quote after we have seen the rooms, and you approve the number before work starts.
What does the guarantee actually mean?
If you are not absolutely in love with the result, we come back and make it right. If it still is not right, the service is on us. That is the Love It or Leave It Guarantee.
Do you work on rentals and managed properties?
Yes, and a lot of our work is exactly that. Tell us the vacancy window and whether the property is in a rental program, and we will schedule inside it.
How do I pay?
Credit card, Venmo, check or cash, after the work is done and you have seen the result.
